Mangaluru: A young woman from West Bengal was reportedly found in a severely ill condition by locals late Wednesday night near Ranipur, on the banks of Nethravathi river, leading to suspicions of gang rape.

Bhatkal: Leaders and representatives from Muslim organizations across Karnataka’s coastal districts and parts of Goa gathered at Rabita Hall in Bhatkal on Tuesday to express collective opposition to the Waqf (Amendment) Act passed by the central government. Manjeshwara, April 14: The Kasaragod police on Monday arrested a 40-year-old man in connection with the murder of an auto rickshaw driver whose body was found in an abandoned well in Kunjattur Padavu. The accused has been identified as Abhishek Shetty, a resident of Surathkal and a school bus driver at a private school in Mangaluru.
