Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah on Saturday visited the head office of Vartha Bharati in Mangaluru.

 In an incident that occurred at an estate in Koove village, a 7-year-old girl child reportedly fell into a water tank while playing, resulting in her death at Mudigere Taluk. 

A Bajrang Dal activist identified as Kitti aka Krishna was arrested by the Dharmasthala police for his involvement in the assault and death of a Dalit labourer named Dinesh, who used to work as a daily wage worker at Kanyadi, it is learned.
