Mangaluru: In an incident reported from the outskirts of the city, an 85-year-old man died after being run over by a pick-up truck on Sunday morning. The incident was reported from Kakkebettu in Shaktinagar here in the outskirts of the city.

Kasargod: A 42-year-old man riding his bike died on Sunday morning when his bike collided with a tanker near new bus stand circle here in the city.

In an incident that reportedly occurred on Saturday, a dead body of an individual was recovered from the railway track at Kunjuru village in the jurisdiction of the Padubidri police station. The police have speculated that the person may have died by suicide after laying his head on the railway track. 

Amidst the COVID-induced weekend curfew across the state, thousands of devotees thronged to the Udupi’s Krishna Mutt on Saturday to attend ‘Rathotsava’ that was organised in clear violation with the government’s COVID advisory.
