Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge, whose recent request to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to deny permission to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) to hold its events on government premises and public places whipped up a controversy, has written a second letter to the CM with regard to the issue.

Infosys founder Narayana Murthy and his wife Sudha Murty have declined to take part in the ongoing social and educational survey, nicknamed caste survey, in Karnataka saying they do not belong to any backward caste, sources in the BBMP said on Thursday.

Dr. Richard Vincent D'Souza, a retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, has been appointed as a State Information Commissioner for the Karnataka Information Commission’s Bengaluru Bench. The appointment was made through a notification issued by the Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, on Tuesday.
