A special court for public representatives in Bengaluru has sentenced former MP Prajwal Revanna to life imprisonment in connection with the rape of a woman who was working at his estate.

Convicted in a rape case and awaiting sentencing on Saturday, suspended JD(S) leader and former MP Prajwal Revanna sought for lesser punishment, claiming he did nothing wrong and that his only mistake was his 'fast' growth in politics.

Belthangady: In connection with the Dharmasthala case, the ninth suspected site shown by witness and complainant was fully excavated on Monday near a forested area beside the National Highway. However, no human remains or other evidence were found during the digging.
