Chikkamagaluru: Heavy rain continues in Malnad region

Chikkamagaluru: Torrential rains in Malnad region continued to disrupt normal life in the region. A huge tree that fell on a house has reportedly injured four people. Hemavathi and Tunga rivers are overflowing causing floods at several places, badly effecting the lives of common people in Malnad region.

Belguam: Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Thursday morning assured people that the government will adequately manage floods in the state while also announcing a compensation of Rs. five lakh to the families of those killed in the floods.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday announced a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh to the families of people killed in floods in the state, while also ordering deployment of more security forces in the flood-hit areas of the state.
