There is a coal shortage in the state's thermal power plants. The 1,720 MW capacity's Raichur Thermal Power Station has zero coal storage. This problem surfaced because the central government’s Western Coalfields Limited (WLC) could not provide adequate coal supply, charged CM HD Kumaraswamy.
