With the election results throwing a fractured mandate in the state, the Congress has handed over a letter, having a party resolution and signatures of all MLA's to extend its support to JDS to form the government, to Governor Vajubhai Vala on Wednesday.

Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad said that both KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar and JDS state president HD Kumaraswamy have submitted their letter seeking permission to form the government and they are waiting for the message of the Governor.

Bengaluru: In a bid to pressurise Governor Vajubhai Vala to not allow BJP to form the government, Congress and JDS have decided to stage a massive protest on the premises of Rajbhavan or Vidhana Soudha.
