M. Narasimhalu elected as the new president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce

M. Narasimhalu has been elected as the new President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC). The election for the 2024-25 term was conducted using electronic voting machines under the supervision of the election officer at the Gururaja Kalyana Mantapa, located near the KFCC office.


Karnataka High Court quashes defamation case against Satish Jarkiholi

The Karnataka High Court has quashed criminal proceedings against Congress leader and Minister for Public Works, Satish Jarkiholi, over his 2022 remarks on the word "Hindu." He had stated that the term has a "dirty and insulting meaning" in Persian, leading to allegations of defamation and hurting religious sentiments.
