Hubballi (Karnataka): Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday endorsed the action taken by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment 'scam’ stating that it is justified.

Bengaluru: Leader of Opposition (LOP) in the Karnataka Assembly R Ashoka called the Saturday morning order by Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s permitting the prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the CM’s alleged involvement in the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam an act of justice for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Saturday called as 'unconstitutional' and 'undemocratic' the permission granted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the alternative site scam in Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

In response to the Governor granting permission for the prosecution of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Muda scam, Women and Child Development Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar stated that there is no question of the Chief Minister resigning. She accused the opposition of using the case for political gain and asserted that the Congress would respond in kind.

Congress general secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala on Saturday dubbed the permission granted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the MUDA alternative site scam as an act of “political vendetta” by the PM Narendra Modi-led government. He said the Congress party would fight the battle legally.
