Bengaluru: Police rescue 15-year-old girl from child marriage

Hoskote police, in coordination with the Women and Child Development Department, swiftly intervened to prevent child marriage and rescued a 15-year-old girl on Sunday. The rescue operation occurred around 2:00 AM at Kanaka Bhavan in Hoskote after one of the attendees at the reception suspected the girl to be a minor and alerted the police control room.


7 Bengaluru prison officials suspended over VIP treatment of actor Darshan

Seven officials from Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bengaluru have been suspended following an investigation into allegations of VIP treatment given to Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who is currently in judicial custody. The suspension came after a photograph and video of the actor in jail went viral, showing him in a relaxed state, reportedly receiving special privileges.
