The Bengaluru Police have sought shifting of Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and other accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, and rowdy elements from Parappana Agrahara jail here to other prisons, city Police Commissioner B Dayananda said on Tuesday.

The Karnataka High Court today observed that the purpose of fair price shops is to ensure easy and accessible distribution of essential commodities to all citizens, especially those from impoverished backgrounds. Karnataka is set to implement the 'Anywhere Registration' system for property registration across all sub-registrar offices in the state from September 2.
