Karnataka Governor permits prosecution of CM Siddaramaiah in MUDA scam

Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot on Saturday granted permission to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in connection with the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) site allotment scam, according to sources from PTI.

Karnataka mandates red-yellow lanyard ID cards for state govt. employees

Bengaluru: On completing 50 years of naming the state from Mysuru to Karnataka, the state government on Friday announced the launching of a campaign titled ‘Hesaraiytu Karnataka, Usiragali Karnataka’ (Named Karnataka, Breathe Karnataka) to commemorate the historic event. In addition, as a part of the campaign the state has issued a directive mandating all state government officials to wear an identity card having a red-yellow lanyard.
