Bengaluru: An eight-year-old ragpicker got electrocuted on Thursday while he was trying to pull a metal wire rope fixed to a transformer adjacent to a drain at Manchenahalli in Chikkaballapura district, according officials of Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM).

A 24-year-old woman named Shamitha, who had been married for only eight months, allegedly took her own life by hanging in Dasanakodi village on Thursday.
