Bengaluru: The Congress in Karnataka will stage demonstrations on Tuesday across all district headquarters against the BJP-led Central government for "denying" rice for the State's 'Anna Bhagya' scheme which offers 10 kg rice to each member of families living below the poverty line.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has affirmed his commitment to prevent any instances of unnatural deaths in the state, emphasizing that there is no space for communal clashes. Speaking to the media after distributing compensation checks of Rs 25 lakhs to the families of six victims who lost their lives in communal conflicts, the Chief Minister stated that individuals should refrain from taking the law into their own hands, irrespective of their religious affiliations.

A delivery boy lost his life in a devastating hit-and-run accident near Rajarajeshwari Nagar Metro Station on Sunday night, according to police reports. The victim, identified as Prasanna Kumar, hailed from H.D. Kote in Mysore district and worked as a delivery boy for a popular food delivery app.

The Vande Bharat intercity semi-high speed train between Bengaluru and Dharwad commenced its trial run on Monday. Officials from the South West Railways announced that the train departed from the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Railway Station in Bengaluru at 5:45 am, embarking on its trial journey.
