Gruha Jyoti scheme receives enthusiastic response on Day 2 as registrations double, 1,61,958 people

The second day of registration for ‘Gruha Jyoti’ scheme which provides up to 200 units of free electricity to all residential households in Karnataka, saw a significant increase as the figures doubled with 1,06,958 people applied for the scheme on Monday, tweeted BESCOM. This takes the total tally to 1,61,958 consumers opting for the much-awaited scheme in two days.
