Facebook allows advertisers to target sensitive user interests

 Just a few days ahead of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect, a Guardian investigation has found that Facebook lets advertisers to target users it thinks are interested in sensitive subjects such as homosexuality, Islam or liberalism.


Indian government requests for Facebook data rose 62% in 2017

Facebook has recorded massive increase in the total number of Indian government requests for data over the past one year -- a rise of nearly 62 per cent in 2017 compared to the global average of 30 per cent.
