Bangaluru: Chief Secretary of the state TM Vijaya Bhaskar has directed the authorities concerned to immediately take steps to rehabilitate those who are begging near traffic signals in Bengaluru. She directed the authorities to build separate Asre houses to the  sexual minorities who have opted begging as their profession.  

Doctors have countered a government statement that they work for a maximum of 40 hours a week, claiming that their work hours often add up to as much as 100 hours a week.
