Mangaluru Police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the murder of rowdy-sheeter Suhas Shetty, who was killed on Thursday night in the jurisdiction of the Bajpe police station.

State Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara faced sharp criticism from leaders within the Dakshina Kannada District Congress during his visit to Mangaluru on Saturday morning.

The Mangaluru police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the murder of rowdy-sheeter and Hindu activist Suhas Shetty, who was killed on Thursday night near Bajpe. Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara confirmed the arrests during a press conference held at the Mangaluru Police Commissioner’s office on Friday.

 A day after the bandh declared by Sangh Parivar following the murder of rowdy-sheeter Suhas Shetty, life in Mangaluru returned to normal on Saturday.

Mangaluru: In a possible breakthrough in the murder case of rowdy sheeter Suhas Shetty, it is learned that the police have taken seven individuals into custody for questioning. Sources indicate that the investigation team is currently interrogating the detained persons to establish their role, if any, in the crime.

Mangaluru: In the aftermath of the brutal murder of Suhas Shetty in Bajpe on Thursday, Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta, has formally written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah urging an immediate transfer of the investigation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Mangaluru: A significant lead has been found in the investigation into the murder of rowdy-sheeter Suhas Shetty, and efforts are underway to trace the accused, said R. Hitendra, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Karnataka.
