The event, held at the International Seminar Hall, aimed to raise awareness and foster a collective commitment to making Mangaluru a drug-free city. Distinguished speakers Nagaraj PSI and Mohan ASI from the Konaje Police Station shared valuable insights into the consequences of drug abuse.

A rare and visually appealing fish known as the 'Spotted Moray Eels' was discovered dead near Suratkal Beach. Scientifically named Gymnothorax moringa, it is locally referred to as the Aroli fish. Tragedy struck on the evening of June 17 when a heated altercation between two construction workers on the Katapadi-Shirva road turned fatal, resulting in the murder of one of the laborers. The victim, identified as Ganesh (50) from Orissa, succumbed to his injuries, while the accused remains at large.

In a startling incident, a car collided with a tipper from behind and got stuck, leading to the tipper dragging it for approximately one kilometer. The mishap occurred opposite the Kannangaru bypass on Monday.
