Udupi: Amidst growing coronavirus scare, another youth with suspected coronavirus symptoms has been admitted at Udupi District Hospital on Friday evening here.

On the occasion of ‘No Smoking Day’, Aster RV Hospital created a human chain with more than 100 people to support and encourage people to quit smoking. Going by the 2020 theme to ‘Find Your Reason to Quit Smoking’, participants along with RV College of Nursing students raised banners and slogans with different reasons to help a smoker consider to permanently quit smoking. Udupi: Two people including a pedestrian died in a road mishap in Udupi’s Atradi here when an auto-rickshaw first hit a pedestrian and overturned on the road after which it was hit by a car, killing the auto-rickshaw driver as well on Wednesday night.

A 68-year-old suspected coronavirus patient from Sagar Taluk's Anandapuram has been admitted to a special ward of KMC hospital on Wednesday afternoon. The throat swab samples of the patient have been collected and were sent for tests to Bengaluru Medical College.

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh on Tuesday confirmed that no Corona Virus cases were detected in the District so far adding that the people of the District need not panic about the spread of the virus.
