Mangaluru: Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Law and Order Arunangshu Giri, on Monday appeared before G Jagadeesha, the deputy commissioner of Udupi District who is heading the Magisterial Enquiry into the December 19 anti-CAA protests, violence and police firing in the city.

Two-day “VTU TEQIP CELL Training Program for Lab Instructors” was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr H V Manjunath, Chief Manager (Administration), Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), on 6th March 2020 at St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru. The training program was hosted by the Department of Electronics and Communication of the college in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University-Karnataka, Aryabhatta Knowledge University-Bihar and Biju Patnaik University of Technology-Odisha.

Mangaluru: A passenger hailing from Ullal in Mangaluru, who arrived at Mangaluru International Airport from Dubai and reportedly showed symptoms of linked to Corona Virus during screening at the airport was admitted to the isolation ward at District Wenlock Hospital on Sunday from where the passenger has reportedly escaped without informing authorities.
