Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested an autorickshaw driver for allegedly transporting and selling the banned drug MDMA in the city. The accused, identified as 32-year-old Muhammad Abdul Jalil from Kasaba Bengare, was arrested under the limits of the Bunder police station.

With the aim of connecting Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts via a metro railway line, the state government has directed the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to prepare a master plan, including a brief report and a detailed project report, for the 60-km stretch.
