Shiradi Ghat opened for traffic; Charmadi Ghat remains closed

Dakshina Kannada District Administration on Monday ordered opening of Shiradi Ghat for traffic which was closed for traffic and vehicular movement due to heavy rain, landslides and tree falls for last few days.

As the District Administration announced series of holidays to schools and colleges in the backdrop of heavy rain a report of Vartha Bharati website was altered and a screenshot of the news was widely shared with altered date to spread fake news. Vartha Bharati will now take legal route to prosecute the miscreants.
