Mangaluru mob lynching sparks outrage over Cong ministers’ remarks, government's handling

Mangaluru: The recent mob lynching incident on the outskirts of Mangaluru, in which a man was allegedly beaten to death by a group of individuals, has triggered widespread anger across the state. Social media has erupted with criticism over the remarks made by senior state ministers and the alleged inaction of the Congress-led state government. Questions are being raised about the role of a senior BJP leader in the case, and allegations have surfaced that the police are shielding him instead of ensuring justice.

 


Family identifies, takes victim Ashraf's body after lynching incident near Kudupu

Mangaluru: The man who was killed in a group assault near Kudupu on April 27 has been identified as Ashraf, a native of Pulpally in Wayanad district, Kerala. His family, after receiving news of the incident, arrived in Mangaluru around 12:30 AM on Tuesday night.

Mangaluru: Mob lynching victim had mental health problems, says younger brother

Mangaluru: The younger brother of the Kudupu mob lynching victim spoke to Vartha Bharati about his brother, Ashraf, stating that his brother had been suffering from mental health issues for several years.
