Third Additional District Sessions Court on Thursday issued a non-bailable warrant against Nithyananda Swami of Nithyananda Dhyana Peetha of Bidadi as he has failed to attend the court in a rape case.

The Coalition for Sex Workers and Sexual Minorities Rights has welcomed the landmark judgement of the Supreme Court which has recognized and granted all forms of constitutional protection and citizenship to the persons identified as queer in the country.

The state government has sanctioned funds for constructing Hajj Bhavan in Mangaluru to facilitate Hajj pilgrims. Now, the Hajj committee is looking for suitable land for construction of the Bhavan.
