New Delhi: The government on Tuesday launched 'Bharat rice' at a subsidised rate of Rs 29 per kilogram to provide relief to consumers amid a 15 per cent rise in retail prices of the grain in the last one year.

UP Court orders Muslims to handover 600-year-old Dargah to Hindus

Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: On Monday, the Baghpat District Court in Uttar Pradesh dismissed a decades-old petition filed by a group of Muslims seeking ownership of a site containing a graveyard and the dargah of Sufi saint Sheikh Badruddin Shah. Civil Judge Shivam Dwivedi, refusing to entertain the plea, issued an order directing the Muslim side to hand over the dargah to Hindus.

Varanasi: The Varanasi District Court is set to hear a plea on February 15, demanding a direction to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to conduct a comprehensive survey of inaccessible cellars within the Gyanvapi Mosque premises.
