Mangaluru: Mangaluru city police on Monday said they have arrested a man from Tenka Yekkar village near here for allegedly killing his wife by attacking her with a wooden club. He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol, and the incident took place on Sunday, said the police.

The Manipal Institute of Technology on Monday said it has debarred a faculty member who had reportedly called one of his students, a terrorist.

Uppinangady: Local police on Monday arrested four people for allegedly breaking into a house and assaulting a man and his family. The accused assaulted and attempted to kill the man and his family after he rejected the marriage proposal of one of the gang members for his daughter.
