Mangaluru: The five accused who were arrested by the police for obstructing the vehicle of Medical students traveling together and attempting an assault on them near Surathkal Toll-gate on Sunday, have reportedly secured bail. The general public has expressed displeasure over the developments and the way the police department has handled the case.

Mangaluru:  A 27-year-old nursing college student riding his bike was killed on the spot after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle on NH 66 here in the city on Tuesday afternoon.

The Commissioner of Police Shashi Kumar said that a special vehicle screening would be implemented in the jurisdiction of the Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate for 5 days from Monday until October 2, Saturday.

Mangalore, 23 Sept 2021: KMC Hospital, Mangalore, has successfully treated a 54-year male who was admitted to the hospital due to severe breathlessness. He was diagnosed with COVID at a hospital in Honnavar. Despite all efforts by the doctors, his condition was not improving, and with worsening symptoms, he was referred to KMC Hospital, Mangalore, for advanced care. He was attended by Dr Haroon H, Consultant - Internal Medicine, Dr Dattatraya Prabhu, Intensivist, and the critical care team, who together initiated necessary supportive measures for the patient.
