Mangaluru: Police close down shops in city to follow fresh COVID-19 guidelines

Mangaluru: In the wake of the second wave of deadly COVID-19, the Karnataka government on Thursday issued fresh guidelines to be followed by the people to control the spread of the virus. In the guidelines, the government restricted all shops except essential services to operate.

Haleyangadi: Another child injured in thunder strike passes away

As a result of Tuesday’s incident when two boys who were playing near their homes in Indiranagar had been struck by thunder, North Karnataka’s Gangavathi resident Durgappa’s son, 6-year-old Maruti who had been seeking treatment in a hospital for his grievous injuries, also passed away in the early hours of Thursday, after the treatment proved to be ineffective.
