Bantwal: Two people were on Thursday intercepted by locals in Kalladka of Bantwal Taluk and handed over them to local police over charges of cattle theft.

On Wednesday, an incident came to light where a young woman committed suicide at Sampya near Puttur. The deceased young woman has been identified as Madhushri (26), who was working as a receptionist at a private hospital in Puttur. The unmarried young woman reportedly committed suicide by jumping into a lake late Wednesday afternoon beside her grandmother’s residence.
