10-year old Mangaluru boy bags one gold and one browse medal at National level Karate Championship

Mangaluru: 10-year old Ismail Nameer Ruknuddin, a student of Mangaluru has secured first place in Kata category of Karate and secured third place in the Kumite category at the 5th National level Open Karate Championship – 2020, organised by Shorin – Ryu Karate Association, Moodbidri in association with M K Ananthraj College of Physical Education, Moodbidri.

 


Mangaluru Police don't want the truth to be disclosed, alleges People’s Tribunal

Mangaluru: The People’ Tribunal constituted by Indian Social Institute, Bangalore, Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) Karnataka Chapter and ‘Samvidhanadha Haadiyalli’ on Wednesday evening issued a press release after they were barred from addressing press conference by the local police. The people’s tribunal headed by Justice Gopala Gowda, former Supreme Court Judge, added that the Mangaluru Police does not want the truth about the December 19 incident to come out.

Mangaluru Police bars former Supreme Court Judge from holding press conference; block venues

Mangaluru: Listening Post People’s Tribunal constituted by Indian Social Institute, Bangalore, Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) Karantaka Chapter, and ‘Samvidhanadha Haadiyalli’ allegedly was blocked from holding press conference in the city by local police. The move comes as a surprise as the people’s tribunal was chaired by former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Gopala Gowda.
