Kundapur: A youth from Jammu & Kashmir was killed when a speeding car hit him in the limits of Gangolli police station on Friday morning.

Kundapur: Former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo HD Devegowda and his wife Channamma who are in Udupi District for Naturopathy treatment, on Friday afternoon visited Amrateshwari Temple in Kota and took part in special puja on the occasion.

Mangaluru: Prominent Doctor and Socio-Political leader Dr. U Ismail Manjeshwar passed away in the wee hours of Friday at his residence. He was 86. Hailing from Manjeshwar, Dr. Ismail was a resident of Valencia locality in Mangaluru.

Udupi:  The Indian Navy on Thursday released pictures of Suvarna Tribhuja -fishing vessel, which, with seven fishermen on board, went into the deep sea from Malpe harbour in Udupi district on December 13, 2018. On December 15, 2018, when the vessel was off Malvan, it lost contact with other fishing boats and harbour. Since then the vessel with seven crews is missing.
