Karkala police arrested an accused who killed a single woman Florine Machado of Ayyappa Nagar in Kukkundur village, by slitting her throat, at Panvel railway station in Mumbai.

The arrested accused is identified as Mohammed Riyaz (33) of Hosmaru of Edu village in the taluk.  

CID ADGP Charand Reddy on Tuesday visited Hiriyadka police station and the place where Jokatte cattle trader Hussainabba (62) was killed and inspected the places as part of the investigation.
