Konkan railway announces special service between Udhna- Mangaluru to clear summer rush

Karwar: In a bid to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic during the Holi festival and the upcoming summer season, Konkan Railway has announced special bi-weekly trains on the Udhna Junction – Mangaluru Junction route. These special services will run from March to June 2025.

 


FIR filed against BJP MLA Vedavyasa Kamath and 11 others for alleged assault on Cong worker

Mangaluru (Karnataka): An FIR has been registered against 12 individuals, including Mangalore City South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, following an alleged assault on a Congress worker during a religious event at the Sri Krishna Bhajana Mandira near Shaktinagara, police said on Monday.

The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has ordered Bajaj Finance Limited to provide all necessary loan-related documents and issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to a complainant who alleged deficiency in service. The Commission has also directed the finance company to pay a compensation of ₹25,000 and litigation costs of ₹10,000 for failing to address the grievances of the complainant in a timely manner.
