Police lathi-charge ABVP activists protesting at Bengaluru University

 In an incident that reportedly occurred on Monday morning, police resorted to lathi-charging the ABVP activists who were demonstrating in front of the administrative office of the Bengaluru University demanding solutions to educational issues.

IPS officer Ravi Channannavar issued clarifications concerning the accusations of corruption made against him and said that all the allegations were falsely made against him out of ill-intentions. I have filed a 3 crores defamation lawsuit in the courts in this regard, he said.

The Govindarajanagar police station officers arrested three individuals for plotting a robbery and their involvement in the theft of two-wheeler vehicles, mobile phones on Sunday. The police have also seized assets estimated in lakhs from the accused, it is learned.
