Bengaluru: Amidst pressure from opposition parties and the public, Karnataka Minister Eshwarappa on Thursday evening announced that he will resign as the minister on Friday.

Belagavi: Former Minister and BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi on Thursday claimed that the same team of conspirators were behind the 'sex CD scandal' involving him and the suicide of contractor Santosh Patil, the case in which Karnataka Minister K S Eshwarappa has been booked for abetting, as he demanded a CBI probe into both issues.

Bengaluru: Senior Congress leaders including former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar were on Thursday detained by police in Bengaluru while they were holding a demonstration demanding suspension of Eshwarappa from state’s cabinet of ministers.

Santhosh Patil death case: cases registered against three including Minister Eshwarappa

Eeshwarappa and two close aides identified as Basavaraj and Ramesh under section: 306 Rw 34 IPC at the Udupi police station on during the early hours on April 13, Wednesday.
