Opposing the Tippu Jayanthi on November 10, Anti-Tippu Jayanthi Action Committee called for a voluntary Kodagu bandh on November 10. The committee would hold a protest in Somwarpet and Virajpet on November 8 and submit memorandums to tahsildars urging the government to drop celebration of Tipu Jayanthi.
