Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde stirred another controversy by terming Chief Minister Siddaramaiah as a begger, ghost and Ravana.

On charges of denotifying 14 gunta land illegally at Lottegollahalli in the second stage of RMV Extension when he was the chief minister, the Karnataka High Court on Friday issued an emergency notice to BJP state president BS Yeddyurappa.

The Congress on Friday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of insulting the city of Bengaluru and the people of Karnataka through his remarks during campaigning and sought an apology from him.

If he failed to give job opportunities to every eligible youth after forming JDS government in the state, he would never ask people to his party again, said JDS state president HD Kumaraswamy.

 “As Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Mallikarjun Kharge has amassed wealth disproportionate to his known source of income, let Modi trace my illegal wealth and put me in jail”, said Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge.

AICC president Rahul Gandhi said that as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has helped mining czars to come out of the jails and competing for sending them to Assembly, people should not allow them to enter the Assembly again.

Strongly reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement in Twitter that only Congress leaders and their relatives are happy in the states where Congress is in power, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asked Modi to verify the properties of Jay Shah, son of BJP national president Amith Shah.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that first BJP leaders should appeal Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfill the assurance of crediting Rs 15 lakh to the bank accounts of each citizen.
