New law for Jawans: Deputy CM Parameshwar

Deputy Chief Minister Dr. G. Parameshwar has said that the government is trying to bring in a new law so that the families of martyred and retired jawans can get all their funds and facilities within three months.


Bhajan in Lokayukta office: Video viral in social media

A video of conducting Bhajans by some people in the Lokayukta office here has gone viral in social media. It is said that some employees in the Lokayukta office on the 5th floor of the multi-storied building in the city engage in Bhajans, Sahasranama and meditation after lunch hours. Though the Lokayukta has information about this development, he has not taken any action against this practice, sources said.

Mysuru : Senior couple jumped to Kapila river to get salvation

With a superstitious belief that they would get salvation if they drowned in Kapila River, an aged couple jumped into the river to commit suicide at Nanjangud on Tuesday. But in the incident, Nagaraj (70) died and his wife Kalavati (60) was shocked. She was admitted to Nanjangud government hospital for treatment.
