Kushalnagar: Two killed over financial dispute; Accused arrested

In a dispute over financial matters, two individuals were murdered in Kudluru Basaveshwara Layout, Kushalnagar, on Friday. The police have arrested the accused in connection with the crime.

 


2025-26 academic calendar for universities, colleges announced

The Department of Higher Education has released the academic calendar for the 2025-26 academic year for public and private universities and affiliated colleges under its jurisdiction. The academic and coordination schedule for 2025-26 will commence in October 2024 and conclude by April 2025. Higher Education Minister Dr. M.C. Sudhakar has approved the calendar.

DK Suresh urges CM to exercise caution regarding caste census

Bengaluru: Former MP DK Suresh has urged the Chief Minister to tread carefully on the issue of the caste census. Addressing the media at his residence in Sadashivanagar on Friday, he stated that the Union government has already announced a census, and conducting the caste survey using the necessary criteria during this time would not lead to confusion. “It is better to wait until the census is conducted,” he suggested.

KSRTC arranges special bus services with over 2,000 vehicles for dasara festival
