Alleged pressure on film stars to repost Prime Minister’s tweet, plaint filed against union govt.

Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesperson Surya Mukundaraj has filed a complaint with the state Chief Electoral Officer, alleging that the union government is pressurising film actors to repost the Prime Minister's tweets and indirectly campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party.

 


Karnataka Governor returns "temple bill" to Govt seeking clarification

Bengaluru: Seeking clarification, Karnataka Governor has sent back to the government a bill that sought to collect funds from temples with over Rs 10 lakh annual income, citing that a case concerning the earlier related act and amendments made to it is still pending in Supreme Court.
