'Nothing wrong with what I proposed': Karnataka Minister reiterates pitch for three more Deputy CMs

Reiterating his pitch for three more Deputy Chief Ministers in Karnataka, Cooperation Minister K N Rajanna on Wednesday said there is nothing wrong with what he has proposed, as it keeps in mind the Congress party's interests in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. It is not based on anyone's instigation, he clarified.


Karnataka Court sentences father to 20-year imprisonment for raping daughter

A 41-year-old autorickshaw driver has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by special judge KN Roopa of a fast-track court for sexually harassing his minor daughter. The accused, arrested in October 2021 based on a complaint from his wife to Parappana Agrahara police, was also fined nearly Rs 2 lakh.

A 44-year-old international passenger, identified as Gafoor Valiya Peedikayil from Kasaragod, was arrested on Monday for assaulting a Bengaluru Customs officer at Terminal 2 of the airport.
