'Religion-based quota unconstitutional': Karnataka govt defends move to end Muslim quota in SC

New Delhi: The Karnataka government has told the Supreme Court it has taken a "conscious decision" to not continue with reservation on the sole basis of religion as it is unconstitutional and it has therefore scrapped the provision of 4 per cent quota for the Muslim community.
