Car traveling on NH 66 in Bhatkal enters Municipality gardens as driver loses control

A car driver had a narrow escape as he lost control while driving on the National Highway 66 near the Bhatkal Town Municipality and his car entered the Municipality gardens on Friday night. The driver, Muhammad Shahid, however, is learned to have sustained minor injuries in the mishap.


Bantwal: Officials raid alleged sand mining site on Nethravati bank, 20 boats seized

Mangaluru Police nab five in major MDMA drug bust

Mangaluru: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in Mangaluru have arrested five individuals allegedly involved in the sale and transport of the banned substance MDMA. The operation, which took place in the Konaje police jurisdiction, resulted in the seizure of 70 grams of MDMA. Along with the drugs, the police confiscated five mobile phones, Rs 1,460 in cash, and a digital weighing scale. The total value of the seized items, including the MDMA worth Rs 3, 50,000, is estimated at Rs 4, 25,500.

 

Congress announces Raju Poojary as MLC candidate for by-polls
