Nava Mangaluru Port Trust (NMPT) president MT Krishna Babu said that after paying Rs 124.81 crore tax, the port has recorded a net profit of Rs 190.55 crore during 2017-18 financial year.

Atradi gram panchayat village accountant Vanitha (34) committed suicide by hanging herself at her house on Tuesday evening. She committed suicide at the quarters on Parkala Herga Temple road. The reason for the suicide was not yet known. She was transferred to Atradi two years back from Karkala.
