In a tragic incident caused by a landslide at Hitthilukodi in Montepadavu, part of Manjanady village, the death toll has risen to two. A child who was trapped under the debris has been declared dead, while rescue operations are ongoing to save the child’s mother and sibling.

Landslide in Montepadavu: Woman dead, mother, two children trapped under debris

A tragic landslide triggered by heavy rains struck early Friday morning around 4:00 AM in Montepadavu, a village in Manjanady, Dakshina Kannada district. The incident occurred at the residence of Kanthappa Poojary in Pambada Hittilu Kody Koppala. The landslide flattened the entire house, resulting in the death of one woman and trapping three others under the debris.
