Union Home Ministry seeks frequent law & order updates amid Kolkata protests from states

The Union Home Ministry has issued a directive to all states, requiring police forces to submit law and order reports every two hours via email, fax, or WhatsApp. This order follows the nationwide protests sparked by the recent rape and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
