Documentary row: BBC, Wikimedia say Delhi court doesn't have jurisdiction to try case

The BBC and Wikimedia Foundation Thursday submitted in a Delhi court that it does not have jurisdiction to try a criminal complaint filed by a BJP leader seeking to restrain them from publishing a documentary on the 2002 Gujarat riots, or any other material defamatory to the RSS and Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP).

More than 100 people fell ill after participating in a ritual feast in Assam's Goalpara district, a senior health department official said on Thursday. A prayer meeting was organised in the house of a member of the Garo community in Mariampur village bordering Meghalaya on Wednesday followed by a feast, Joint Director (Health) Paresh Kalita told reporters.
