Rupee Hits Lifetime Low Of 73.34 Against Dollar

The Indian rupee hits all-time low of 73.34 against US dollar in morning trade on Wednesday, reported Press Trust of India (PTI). Forex and money markets were closed on Tuesday on account of Gandhi Jayanti. The rupee dropped to a record low in opening deals on Wednesday as a sharp rise in global crude oil prices over the last two sessions weighed on sentiment for the local unit.

3 of a Chennai family die after gas leak from air conditioner

Three members of a family died in Chennai on Monday after they inhaled a gas that emanated from a malfunctioning air conditioner, the police said today. Their neighbours called the police after the family that included a 35-year-old man, his wife and son didn't come out for a long time. The police broke open the door and found the bodies.
